At 58 High Street, Chequers enters a new chapter. Established March 2026, this historic Tudor building in the heart of Royston is reimagined as a contemporary Turkish restaurant and hotel, rooted in heritage and shaped by modern taste.
Within its beautifully restored timber frame, a refined take on traditional Turkish grilling takes centre stage, with bold flavours, simple ingredients and a generosity that defines true hospitality. Every dish is crafted to be shared, bringing warmth, depth and a sense of occasion to the table.
Honouring its past while embracing something new, Chequers remains a place for the Royston community to gather, familiar in name, renewed in spirit and driven by a passion for food, people and connection.
